Baseball Recap: West Seattle's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Franklin last Wednesday, West Seattle came back down to earth. West Seattle took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakeside Lions on Friday. West Seattle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lakeside apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

West Seattle moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Lakeside, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. West Seattle will take on rival Seattle Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (West Seattle 2.9, Seattle Academy 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Lakeside is set to face off against their familiar foe Seattle Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
