Basketball Game Preview: Minarets Mustangs vs. Golden West Trailblazers

The Minarets Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Golden West Trailblazers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Minarets is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Exeter just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 52-45 to the Monarchs. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 740th, while the Monarchs are ranked 321st).

Meanwhile, Golden West had to suffer through a 71-40 loss at the hands of Tulare Union. The Trailblazers haven't had much luck with the The Tribe recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Golden West's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Minarets, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
