Basketball Game Preview: Wauwatosa West Trojans vs. Brookfield Central Lancers

Wauwatosa West is 2-8 against Brookfield Central since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wauwatosa West Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Brookfield Central Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wauwatosa West will head into Thursday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were dealt a 72-28 defeat at the hands of Divine Savior Holy Angels.

Meanwhile, Brookfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Menomonee Falls, falling 65-43. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Phoenix are ranked 111th).

Brookfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Wauwatosa West, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Wauwatosa West strolled past Brookfield Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 62-47. Will Wauwatosa West repeat their success, or does Brookfield Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
