Basketball Recap: Goodrich Comes Up Short

Goodrich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Leggett Pirates 89-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-24 back in December of 2024.

Goodrich's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zatavius Bowens, who posted nine points.

Goodrich's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Leggett, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Goodrich has already played their next game, a 153-14 loss against Brookeland on the 14th. As for Leggett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-50 win against Burkeville on the 14th.
