Isle of Wight Academy posted their closest win since April 25, 2024 on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Southampton Academy Raiders 5-4. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The win got Isle of Wight Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Southampton Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Isle of Wight Academy will head out to square off against Kenston Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Kavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Southampton Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Fuqua at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
