Basketball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the East Rowan Mustangs, falling 72-32. While losing is never fun, the Spiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Mustangs are ranked 165th).

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for East Rowan, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Rowan, they have already played their next matchup, a 52-42 victory against Northwest Cabarrus on the 18th.
