Leading Edge Academy - GEC has gone 7-2 against San Carlos recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans will challenge the San Carlos Braves at 7:00 p.m. Leading Edge Academy - GEC is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Leading Edge Academy - GEC had to suffer through a 104-39 loss at the hands of San Tan Charter. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Roadrunners are ranked 54th).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, San Carlos' good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were outmatched by Phoenix Country Day and fell 74-42. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-21.

Despite the defeat, San Carlos saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leandro Simbolo posted 16 points along with five boards and three steals. The game was Simbolo's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leshawn Browning, who had five points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, San Carlos smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

San Carlos' loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Everything came up roses for Leading Edge Academy - GEC against San Carlos in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured an 86-56 victory.
