Godley fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Clyde on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Crosby Carmichael and Byron McClure stepped up to the plate in a big way. Carmichael got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while McClure went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Godley's loss dropped their record down to 24-6-1. As for Clyde, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5-1 record this season.

Godley will challenge Carter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clyde does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
