Heritage Academy won the last time they faced Miami and things went their way on Saturday too. The Heroes blew past the Vandals 21-1. The Heroes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by six runs or more this season.
Sieana Soltero made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Heritage Academy got a massive performance out of Christina Martinez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Martinez has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Rowan Asanovich, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Heritage Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .621. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in seven consecutive matches.
