Trinity came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 34-21 victory over the Belle Vernon Leopards. The Hillers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Leopards, too.

Leading Trinity to victory were Jonah Williamson and Owen Gardner. Williamson rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while Gardner gained 191 total yards. What's more, Williamson racked up 135.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August.

Trinity didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Belle Vernon to a completion percentage of just 47.6%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from one players: Ben Priest, who each logged one passes deflected. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Trinity; they were averaging 62.7%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three matchups they've fallen to only 62.7%.

Trinity didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Priest and Jake Schreyer. Priest has become a key player for Trinity: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one interception, but 3-4 otherwise.

Trinity's record is now 6-4. As for Belle Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coming up, Trinity will take on Aliquippa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Quips' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Hillers' offense will have their work cut out for them. Belle Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
