Volleyball Recap: Byron's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Byron lost against Chatfield back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears came up short against the Gophers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since October 3, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.

Hannah Tweten was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

With the defeat, Byron broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-5. As for Chatfield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Byron didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Barron on the 10th. Chatfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
