Softball Recap: Western Takes a Loss

Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights, falling 18-3. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 20-1 to the Knights when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Natalie Tapia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Western's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Western didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 loss against Del Sol on the 5th. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-8 victory against Virgin Valley on the 8th.
