Football Game Preview: Marshfield Bluejays vs. Branson Pirates

Marshfield hasn't had much luck against Branson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bluejays will take on the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Marshfield made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bolivar, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bluejays fell just short of the Liberators by a score of 37-35 on Friday. On the bright side, the 35- point effort marked the Bluejays' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Branson was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took an 18-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkview. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Branson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Marshfield, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Marshfield was taken down by Branson 49-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bluejays avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
