Baseball Recap: St. Albert Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for St. Albert's offense. They came up short against the Logan-Magnolia Panthers on Wednesday, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

St. Albert has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Logan-Magnolia, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Albert will square off against Kuemper at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Logan-Magnolia, they will head out on the road to take on Underwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
