Softball Recap: North Brunswick Triumphs

On Thursday, the North Brunswick Scorpions were able to grind out a solid victory over the West Bladen Knights, taking the game 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scorpions.

Shanley Hunt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, North Brunswick saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Morgan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Emilee Camacho, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

North Brunswick's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, North Brunswick will head out to challenge Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Bladen, they will be playing at home against East Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
