Baseball Game Preview: Forest Bearcats vs. Greene County Wildcats

For the second straight game, Forest will face off against Greene County. The Bearcats will welcome the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Forest has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 28.

Forest heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Friday. They came up short against Greene County, falling 13-3.

For Greene County's part, Cole Helton and Zaine Moody did most of the damage at the plate: Helton went 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs, while Moody went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Helton has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jaxen Denmark, who earned three runs and two stolen bases.

Forest's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Greene County, their win bumped their record up to 19-11.
