Softball Recap: Deshler Takes a Loss

After flying high against New Hope on Saturday, Deshler came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Austin Black Bears by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 18th.

The loss snapped Deshler's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 20-10 record. As for Austin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9-1 record this season.

Deshler will take on Russellville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Austin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 win against West Limestone on the 5th.
