Basketball Recap: Berry Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Zahnia Long and Annabella Hall

Berry lost against Olympic back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The game between the Berry Cardinals and the Olympic Trojans didn't end well, with the Berry Cardinals falling 46-32. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Berry's loss came despite strong showings from Annabella Hall and Zahnia Long. Hall posted 14 points, while Long had 12 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olympic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chaya James, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. James is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last seven games she's played. Barri Terry was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven assists and four steals.

Berry's record is now 5-10. As for Olympic, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.

Berry will head out on the road to challenge Palisades at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Olympic has already played their next match, a 48-20 defeat against Morrow on the 18th.
