Soccer Recap: Charlotte Comes Up Short

After flying high against Waverly last Wednesday, Charlotte came back down to earth. The Orioles came up short against the Haslett Vikings on Tuesday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Charlotte can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 347th, while Haslett are ranked 111th).

Charlotte dropped their record down to 5-9-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Haslett, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-4 record this season.

While Charlotte had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Wednesday.
