There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. There's a new number one at the head of the rankings as well as a new caboose.
Welcome
The power rankings welcomes a newcomer to the scene as Penns Grove earned the 24th spot after its strong showing last week. It claimed a 35 - 26 victory over Willingboro. Penns Grove found its leader in an underclassman: Jayon Carter earned one touchdown and 98 yards rushing the ball, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players.
Can't Touch This
Camden's 39 - 28 win over Woodrow Wilson last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Monte Williams. Williams rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns. That performance made Williams one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
A
The battle between Coatesville (ranked 2nd in the power rankings) and North Penn (ranked 9th) turned out to be a somewhat underwhelming competition. Coatesville took its game against North Penn by a confident 42 - 13 score. Coatesville's defense outmaneuvered the North Penn offensive line and got to the QB for six sacks.
No Stoppin 'Em
Bethlehem Catholic and Pottsgrove went up, up, and away last week as they combined for the highest point total (78) among all power ranked teams. Bethlehem Catholic put the hurt on Pottsgrove with a conclusive 58 - 20 victory. Bethlehem Catholic saw its record improve to 11-3 and its power rank jump 12 places as a result.
