Basketball Recap: Guernsey-Sunrise Comes Up Short

Guernsey-Sunrise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 58-30 defeat at the hands of the Southeast Cyclones. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-10.

It was another big night for Ayden Desmond, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards for Southeast. Desmond continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kannon Tippetts, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 18 points.

Guernsey-Sunrise's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Southeast, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Guernsey-Sunrise has already played their next match (against Rock River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Southeast, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-61 defeat against Non Varsity Opponent on the 21st.
