Baseball Recap: Brandywine Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Brandywine challenged Watervliet on Thursday. The Bobcats fell 9-6 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 on Thursday.

Kaeden Warfield was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Brandywine has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Watervliet, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brandywine will face off against Buchanan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats are facing the Bucks at the right time seeing as the Bucks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Watervliet, they will challenge South Haven at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
