Basketball Game Preview: Chickasaw Chieftains vs. Bryant Hurricanes

Chickasaw hasn't had much luck against Bryant recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chickasaw Chieftains will be home for the holidays to greet the Bryant Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. Both are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Back in November, Chickasaw really took it to Citronelle for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-22 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-11.

Meanwhile, everything went Bryant's way against Mobile Christian on Tuesday as Bryant made off with a 78-57 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

The win got Chickasaw back to even at 1-1. As for Bryant, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Chickasaw suffered a grim 49-26 defeat to Bryant in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bryant's Mari-Margret Grayson, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine steals. Now that Chickasaw knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
