Volleyball Recap: Elyria Christian's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Elyria Christian won the last time they faced 8:28 Gladiators and things went their way on Monday too. Elyria Christian walked away with a 3-1 win over 8:28 Gladiators. The victory was some much needed relief for Elyria Christian as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Elyria Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23.

Joy Pyle paced Elyria Christian's offense, picking up 22 kills. Pyle got some help from Laney Reiff and her 36 assists. Mallorie Jader controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Elyria Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-20-1. As for 8:28 Gladiators, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
