Despite the defeat, Ridge View got top-tier performance from Anasia Harvey, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Harvey a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiya Carter, who posted 11 points along with six boards and five assists.
Even though they lost, Ridge View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Timber Creek entered their tilt with Milken on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 53-23. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 27 points or more this season.
Timber Creek's win came from a few key players Ridge View will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Serene Exalant, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine steals. She has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last five times she's played. Emry Warren was another key player, going 6 of 12 on her way to 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Ridge View's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Timber Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
