Volleyball Recap: Wickenburg Christian Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wickenburg Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dream City Christian on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lion have posted since October 3, 2024.

Wickenburg Christian Academy took Dream City Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-15, 18-25, 16-25, 25-14, 17-15.

Wickenburg Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Jenny Blodgett had six aces and three digs and Kamerin Earls had seven kills, six aces, five digs, and one block. With that strong performance, Earls is now averaging an impressive 2.2 aces per game. Kiley Egan was another key player, getting seven kills and four blocks.

Wickenburg Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.
