Baseball Recap: Franklin's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Franklin came into Wednesday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Greenville Green Wave by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Connor Monk, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Andrew Cooke, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Greenville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.

Looking ahead, Franklin will venture away from home to square off against Bishop Fenwick at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Greenville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
