Baseball Recap: Duanesburg Beats Mayfield for Their Third Straight Win

Duanesburg entered their tilt with Mayfield on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ayden Fall was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Logan Mienaltowski also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Duanesburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mayfield only posted an OBP of .350.

Duanesburg's record now sits at 6-3. As for Mayfield, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duanesburg will square off against Mekeel Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mayfield, they will challenge Middleburgh at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
