Baseball Recap: Onalaska Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Onalaska had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Toledo Indians, falling 14-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 22 in a row.

Onalaska saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Miess, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Toledo's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Onalaska will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Toledo at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Toledo, they will face off against Kalama at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
