Softball Recap: Green Run Comes Up Short

Green Run was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-2 to the Landstown Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stallions of the 27-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Green Run saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Odeneal, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Green Run's record is now 2-7. As for Landstown, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Run will take on Bayside at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Landstown, they will square off against Great Bridge at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
