Baseball Recap: Regis Jesuit Comes Up Short

Regis Jesuit has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.91 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 12-1 to the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Nick Wiley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Regis Jesuit and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Mountain Vista, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Regis Jesuit and Mountain Vista should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Raiders will challenge Highlands Ranch at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (4 vs. 73). Meanwhile, Mountain Vista (ranked seventh) will meet Rock Canyon (ranked 40th) at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
