Basketball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Takes a Loss

Jac-Cen-Del was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Franklin County Wildcats. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Kemp, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds. Brady Foster was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Jac-Cen-Del's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Franklin County, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jac-Cen-Del will head out to face off against Lawrenceburg at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Franklin County, they will challenge Batesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Batesville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.
