Football Recap: Carmel Gets the Win

Carmel won the last time they faced Antioch and things went their way on Thursday too. The Corsairs managed a 14-8 victory over the Sequoits. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Corsairs.

Antioch lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Evie Baronello, who picked up 37 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 32 yards.

Carmel's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Antioch, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Carmel will take on rival Saint Viator at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be the Corsairs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Meanwhile, Antioch is set to square off against their familiar foe Buffalo Grove at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
