Volleyball Recap: Marshall Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Marshall had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lawrenceville Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 23-25, 27-25, 27-25.

Marshall found their leader in sophomore Ali Sheets, who had nine digs and one assist.

Marshall's win bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Lawrenceville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-20 record this season.

Marshall will challenge Westville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrenceville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
