Martins Ferry had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Barnesville Shamrocks as they made off with a 79-54 victory. The Purple Riders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Martins Ferry has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Barnesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.

Martins Ferry will look to defend their home court on Monday against Morgantown at 7:00 p.m. As for Barnesville, they will square off against St. Clairsville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
