Volleyball Recap: Kenston Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Kenston and Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Kenston had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions. While Kenston ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 25-19.

Avari Amstutz paced Kenston's offense, picking up 13 kills. Amstutz got some help from Emily Grubich and her 38 assists. Jetta Cornell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Kenston's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-7.

After both having extra time off, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
