After a string of five wins, Wildwood's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 10-4 to the Salem Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-6 back in March.

RJ Blanda was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Brian Cunniff, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Wildwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Salem, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wildwood will head out to take on Cape May County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Salem, they will venture away from home to square off against Mastery at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warrior have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.43 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
