Baseball Recap: Camden Central Lions vs. Waverly Central Tigers

Camden Central lost to Waverly Central back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Camden Central Lions walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Waverly Central Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for Camden Central.

Maddox Trull tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Trey Dooley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Latendresse, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Camden Central's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Waverly Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-10.

Camden Central will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Huntingdon at 2:30 p.m. Huntingdon is coming into the game with eight straight victories at home, so Camden Central will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Waverly Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
