Basketball Recap: Maurepas Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Maurepas can now relate to. They lost to the Family Christian Flames on the road by a 55-39 margin on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Flames this season, with their most recent loss being a 58-39 defeat back in February.

Maurepas now has a losing record of 18-19. As for Family Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 23 of their last 27 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-10 record this season.

Maurepas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Family Christian, they will challenge Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Georgetown comes in on five and Family Christian on nine.
