Friday just wasn't the day for Shoals Christian's offense. They came up short against the Lexington Golden Bears on Friday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Flame in their meetings with the Golden Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Shoals Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Pettus, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Pettus has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Shoals Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lexington, their win ended a 20-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8.

Coming up, Shoals Christian will welcome Clements at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-6 defeat against Sheffield on the 10th.
