In what's become a running theme this season, Lower Richland gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 49-6 win over Dreher. The team accrued 39 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Lower Richland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chanyse Green, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jhnai Sumter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Brookland-Cayce had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Dreher with a 36-32 win on Thursday. The victory was just what Brookland-Cayce needed coming off of a 50-17 defeat in their prior contest.
Lower Richland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Brookland-Cayce, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
Everything came up roses for Lower Richland against Brookland-Cayce in their previous matchup on January 10th as the squad secured a 61-7 victory. With Lower Richland ahead 46-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.
