Baseball Recap: Salinas' Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

There's no place like home for Salinas, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the St. Francis Sharks 8-0 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cowboys as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Evan Le's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Salinas is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gavin Rainey, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Jordan Isla was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Salinas' win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for St. Francis, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.
