Softball Game Preview: Glendale Prep Academy Griffins vs. Trivium Prep Knights

The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins will challenge the Trivium Prep Knights at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Glendale Prep Academy and four for Trivium Prep.

Glendale Prep Academy came up short against Wickenburg on Monday, falling 28-3.

Annabelle McRoy and Mya Donaldson did some serious damage despite the final result: McRoy went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Donaldson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. McRoy has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Trivium Prep's offense. They lost 20-0 to Mohave Accelerated on Monday.

Glendale Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Trivium Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Trivium Prep's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Glendale Prep Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Trivium Prep, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Glendale Prep Academy keep running through batters, or will the Knights buck the trend?
