Soccer Game Preview: Victoria East vs. Fort Bend Marshall

The Victoria East Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Victoria East is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Terry on Friday. Victoria East came up short against Terry, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Fort Bend Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to Randle. While losing is never fun, the Buffalos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 772nd, while the Lions are ranked 237th).

Fort Bend Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Victoria East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Victoria East beat Fort Bend Marshall 2-0 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Victoria East since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
