Softball Recap: Greater Johnstown Comes Up Short at Home Against Penn Cambria

Greater Johnstown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Penn Cambria Panthers on Tuesday, falling 16-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

Greater Johnstown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Synan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Coming up, Greater Johnstown will venture away from home to take on Rockwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Penn Cambria, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-2 loss against Forest Hills on the 20th.
