Soccer Recap: Sutter Takes a Loss

Sutter lost to Dixon back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Huskies came up short against the Rams, falling 6-2. While losing is never fun, Sutter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1142nd, while Dixon are ranked 162nd).

Axel Benoit wasn't going to let Dixon walk away unscathed as he scored both of Sutter's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Sutter and nudges their season record down to 0-7-1. As for Dixon, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Sutter will take on Gridley at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Dixon, they will venture away from home to face off against El Camino at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
