Baseball Recap: Vero Beach Find Success

Vero Beach won the last time they faced Eau Gallie and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians came out on top against the Commodores by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Brandon Walker looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hunter Johnston, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Caleb Wood was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Vero Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eau Gallie only managed three.

Vero Beach's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Eau Gallie, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
