Softball Recap: Allendale-Fairfax Tigers vs. St. John's Islanders
Allendale-Fairfax extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They lost 19-1 to the St. John's Islanders. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 18 runs.
As for St. John's, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games.
For St. John's part, KENNEDY MOORE was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. MOORE has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
