Basketball Game Preview: Margaretta Polar Bears vs. Bellevue Redmen

Margaretta hasn't had much luck against Bellevue recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Margaretta Polar Bears will welcome the Bellevue Redmen at 7:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Margaretta sitting on four straight wins and Bellevue on seven.

Last Saturday, Margaretta was able to grind out a solid victory over Huron, taking the game 31-23. The 31-point effort marked the Polar Bears' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bellevue). They breezed by Perkins to the tune of 77-33 on Friday. The Redmen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Bellevue pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Margaretta, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
