Quarterback Will Grier closes career with top performance of the week.



Will Grier of Davidson Day (Davidson, N.C.) saw his record-setting career come to an end with his top yardage performance of the season in an NCISAA Division II state championship win over Harrells Christian Academy.

Grier completed 32 of 42 passes for a season-high 599 yards and seven touchdowns in the win. He finishes the season with 4,989 yards and a nation-best 77 touchdown passes. His yardage tops this week's list of national passing leaders.

Grier completes an outstanding career that saw him throw for 14,565 yards and 195 touchdowns. His yardage total ranks fourth all-time in high school history while his touchdown total is No. 2 all-time.



Anthony Hernandez of Desert Edge set a pair of single season records in Arizona after throwing for 482 yards and five touchdowns in a season-ending loss to Saguaro.

Hernandez broke a pair of records held by Rathen Ricedorff of Show Low as he finished the year with 4,662 yards and 60 touchdowns. The previous marks were 4,413 yards and 55 touchdowns.
